PROJECT MANAGEMENT

FORISTELL

Having just relocated from Denver, Colorado to the serene rolling hills of rural Missouri, this client engaged our team to bring her dream home to life. Drawing inspiration from her mountain roots and a love of glitz and glam, we embarked on a journey to craft an ambiance of upscale mountain chic.

Our design narrative unfolded by seamlessly blending bold lighting selections with a sophisticated palette of neutral tones, enriched by an array of mixed textures and patterns to set the perfect stage. We introduced moments of heightened drama throughout the home, strategically placing them in key spaces such as the primary bathroom, formal dining room, lower-level reading room, and primary bedroom.

The collaborative process between our team of designers and the client was a dream experience, resulting in a home that truly captures the essence of her.

WESTMORELAND PLACE

This historic home was built in 1912. When our client bought the home they had grand visions for what it might become. I was fortunate enough to take on a major role in this project and assist the lead designer in bringing this magnificent home back to its original glory. What started as pink walls and very closed off was soon taken down to the studs and reworked, while still honoring what made this historic manor so unique.
We started with architect meetings and contractor interviews on behalf of the client. Then we moved to large-scale presentations. I assisted in developing detailed custom furniture and one-of-a-kind finishes for every aspect of the home. Next, I attended weekly walkthroughs with the contractor, reviewed bids, and made sure I was in contact with every subcontractor regularly to answer questions. After furniture and finishes were decided my next responsibility was drafting up proposals, purchase orders, and invoices for everything we needed to complete this multimillion-dollar project. I worked hand in hand with manufacturer representatives across our network to make sure every detail of the furniture we selected was perfect. Once items arrived I met with the receiving company to inspect everything, open damage claims if needed, and schedule installation dates. Once our contractor had completed the job we did final walk-throughs and I scheduled/managed the furniture delivery and co-directed during a photoshoot to wrap up the job.

DUNLEITH DRIVE

These clients reached out looking to renovate the master bath, wet bar, and powder bath of their home. The areas started closed off, outdated, and were not functional to their fullest extent. When working on this project I completed detailed drawings for the contractor and assisted in sourcing finish selections. I attended tile, countertop, and cabinetry meetings with the lead designer while keeping detailed notes and relaying all decisions that were made to the contractor and my showroom representatives so everything ran smoothly. During this time I also worked alongside the cabinetry company to redline and refine the cabinetry drawings to include everything the clients needed for their spaces. My next steps were to put all of our selections into proposals, purchase orders, and invoices for the client. Once all materials, appliances, plumbing fixtures, etc. were on order I kept in regular contact with the contractor to answer questions and provide updates.  We walked through the project for final punch list items and then I scheduled and directed the photoshoot.

TOPSAIL BEACH

A North Carolina beach house that started with a pink exterior and outdated finishes was given a fresh makeover both inside and out. I started by assisting the lead designer with redlining plans and meeting with both her and the contractor. After the plans were decided I moved to furniture layouts. While space planning I helped the lead designer source custom furniture and finishes from several of our manufacturers. Once the furniture and finishes were selected I put everything into purchase orders and worked with our manufacturer representatives to get all of the custom orders placed, tracked, and managed. While waiting for orders to arrive I worked with the contractor to make sure the wallpaper, flooring, lighting, etc were all being installed without a hitch. After the inspections were finished I organized the installation of the furniture in conjunction with the receiving company.

TRIBECA APARTMENTS

Tribeca enlisted our help to design their common spaces. During this project, I worked on detailed CAD drawings, proposals, purchase orders, invoices, and presentations with the client. While working with the client I also had regular contact with the foreman to ensure everything was running smoothly and the manufacturer representatives to check in on the furniture progress. Once all of the hard surfaces and furnishings were selected we moved to art, accessories, and final touches to bring the space together. When it came time for installation I scheduled all of the furniture, games tables, art, mirrors, etc. to be installed and ready for the photoshoot. I enlisted our favorite photographer and directed this shoot from start to finish.

START UP HEADQUARTERS

*in progress*

This company is a start-up moving into the creative district of downtown Denver and wanted a space that reflected their passion for creativity and gave a nod to their new neighborhood. A place for their employees to come and go, clients to visit, and to show off exactly what makes them so unique. Their biggest concern was making an industrial warehouse space feel welcoming. As the lead designer I developed several different multiuse spaces; giving their team flexibility to work wherever and however, they do best while clearly defining the other areas to make the spaces feel intimate and warm.

HOSPITAL LOBBY REFRESH

*in progress*

When tasked with trying to make patients and their loved ones feel comfortable during this lobby refresh I leaned toward the fundamental things that make us all feel safe; warm hues, soft surfaces, and lots of textures, all while utilizing finishes approved in healthcare settings. As lead designer, I tried to achieve several small seating areas that gave the families a sense of privacy during times of uncertainty when they need a place to retreat to while they wait. Adding earth tones and textures helped create a calming sense to this waiting room revitalization.
